Education:
I studied at a public school in Galicia, in the North of Spain. I graduated in Biology from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain) and then moved to Salamanca, in the center of the country, to study a Masters in Biology and Clinic of Cancer. I got my PhD in Biosciences from the University of Salamanca last year.
-
Current Job:
Postdoctoral fellow at the Sanger Institute (Cambridge)
-
About Me:
I’m a Spanish scientist working at Cambridge. I enjoy crafts and I love a good mystery in any flavour (lab work, suspense books and murder series are always welcome).
-
My Typical Day:
I get up at 6.30 am, have breakfast and prepare for work. If I’m working at home, the first step is switching on the computer to analyse data, write projects or design experiments. I also catch up with my lab mates on Zoom to share results and ideas. When I can go to the lab, I spend the day taking care of the cells and doing experiments.
