I have been involved in several projects in my current job. The biggest project I have been involved in was helping to design the time scale for the Square Kilometre Array.
The Square Kilometre Array is being built in South Africa and Australia and will be an array of lots of small receivers which will have a combined collecting area of over a square kilometre. It will be the world’s largest radio telescope and some of the science aims are to discover how galaxies evolve, how the first stars were made and maybe whether or not we are alone in the universe!
