Favourite thing to do in my job: Grow algae babies!
About Me: I'm a PhD student doing my research in genetically engineering green microalgae - the future of food, biofuels and biopharmaceuticals.
I left my nest in Malaysia and came to the UK to pursue my studies in a different culture and education system! I meditate daily, love street dancing and crochet in my free time. I also have an ambitious goal to conquer all the munros in Scotland at the end of my PhD ⛰️. My pronouns are she/her.
My Work: I'm working on how to improve genetic engineering in green microalgae. They look like small green blobs under the microscope, small but mighty because they are the future of food, biofuels and biopharmaceuticals.
